What would you do if a group of teenage boys
said to you, “Coach, let’s start a church and really make a difference
in our neighborhood.” On faith they bought a whole city block and now
thirty years later Lawndale Community Church on Chicago’s west side, and
their pastor and coach, Pastor Wayne Gordon, not only have a church, but
a clinic with 30 doctors serving 100,000 patients a year, and a
gymnasium. Learn how these inner-city, very poor teenagers dug a hole –
seven feet deep, 150’ long, and 50’ wide all by themselves. It was the
