Program: More Than a Bandage For the Poor
Dr. William Davis
is the director of SOS Heal Care, Inc. SOS Health Care has been a grass
roots campaign addressing the needs of the most vulnerable persons in
Horry County, South Carolina for 17 years. Since it first opened its
doors, four programs have spun off to become independent non-profits:
CareTeam in 1998, SharedCare, Senior Peer Counseling, and the Children's
Center of Cedar Branch in 2006.
Dr. Davis continues to serve on the boards of
each of these new non-profits, except CareTeam, where he served for
their first three years of operation.
