Program: Nonviolence as a Way of Life
Terrence J Ryyne
is the founder of the Marquette University Center for Peacemaking,
Milwaukee, WI, and a teacher of Peace Studies. He retired as founder and
president of Rynne Marketing Group, a nationally recognized consulting
firm that has served more than 600 leading hospitals and heath care
organizations. When he and his wife Sally sold their respective
companies, they started The Sally and Terry Rynne Foundation dedicated
to peace and to the empowerment of women.
The Rynnes launched the Marquette University Center for Peacemaking in
September 2007. "My vision was to see a center for peacemaking at a
university near our home dedicated to encouraging research, training our
people in nonviolent action and developing a spirituality to sustain
long-term commitments to peace," Rynne says
Rynee hope the center will be a model for other universities in how to
introduce students in their formative years to the alternative vision
and practice peacemaking. For more information
