Mark, when they worked as singing waiters during college. They married in 1986
and today are the proud parents of two sons, Stross and Skye. Joy teaches public

planning special events and working on behalf of small local businesses and
non-profit organizations.
Joy volunteers her time as a member of the
Advisory Board for The Lutheran, the magazine of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America, and serves on the District Advisory
Committee for the Forest City School District. She is also a member of
the International Association of Business Communicators.
Joy graduated with a degree in

typesetting company in Fort Worth before becoming the director of public
relations for Color Tile, Inc. In 1989, she became the communications director
